PEI is now providing pro-bono services to erect a Viet Nam era F-4 fighter jet at Col Joe Kittinger Park next to Orlando Executive Airport. The plan is to dedicate the memorial to the 330 Orlando natives lost in the war , and of course all veterans, on Veterans Day, 11 November 2014. We are blessed to be a part of this endeavor.
We are excited to have reached a milestone in the transition into the 3rd generation of ownership of Peninsula Engineering! For the past 6 years we have been working with two of our key staff members in orchestrating the strategic continuity of our company’s future. We are pleased to name Bryan Spangler, P.E. and Rich King, P.E. as those who will be responsible for carrying the PEI torch in future years. Bryan has a BS in Architectural Engineering with a specialty in Lighting, is an Electrical Professional Engineer and serves as the Director of our Health Care division. Rich has a BSME from Auburn University and is a Mechanical Professional Engineer. He began his career with Facility Asset Management (FAM) at Disney. We hired him in 2002 to serve Disney and other hospitality/theme park clients. Rich has vast experience in many of the hotel and restaurant renovations and expansions on Disney property. He also directs our Ride and Show projects, the most recent being the complete refurbishment of Pirates of the Caribbean.
Albert and I will continue to be in charge of day to day operations and client relations as we ease Rich and Bryan into their new ownership roles. We continue as shareholders and corporate officers of the firm and will be so for at least the next 5 years. Our entire organization is based upon long term relationships – with our clients, our staff and our vendors. Rich and Bryan’s philosophy is the same as mine and Albert’s: Do the right thing, treat your staff as clients and you can trust them to follow suit.
Peninsula Engineering, Inc. has been selected for the 2013 Best of Orlando Award for Consulting Engineers by the Orlando Award Program.
Each year, the Orlando Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Orlando area a great place to live, work and play.
Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2013 Orlando Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Orlando Award Program and data provided by third parties.
