Florida Hospital Orlando, Core Lean Lab Renovation

Peninsula Engineering provided MEP/FP/ Med Gas services for the renovation of the existing central core laboratory for Florida Hospital. This project incorporated the LEAN philosophies and processes for efficient use of the space to help speed up sample processing and automated Beckman Culter equipment was incorporated. The work included normal and emergency distribution, lighting calculation and design and a new 80 ton HVAC rooftop mounted system, all of which was installed while working over the hospital’s busy radiology department. The project was completed in five phases and required the regulatory review and inspection of AHCA.
