Sprint Network Room

Peninsula Engineering provided HVAC, electrical and fire protection design for Sprint’s telecommunications routing control facility. This room monitors and routes their critical telecommunications paths throughout their worldwide network. Peninsula provided space comfort control within the console operator's space and temperature and humidity control for the critical computer equipment which serves the large video wall monitors. The power design included uninterruptible power supply UPS and emergency generator backup for all systems. the fire protection system consisted of a Fm 200 pre-action system to protect valuable data equipment. The space operates on a 365/day-24/hour schedule and redundancy was included in all systems.
