Kyle Inge, P.E.

Mr. Inge serves as a mechanical project manager in our firm’s healthcare and commercial groups.  Mr. Inge services our relationships with Florida Hospital, Adventist Care Centers, Orlando Health, HCA and numerous other architectural and owner-direct clients. His portfolio includes projects ranging from new construction and renovations for inpatient and outpatient facilities, medical office buildings, support buildings, laboratories and stand-alone physician’s offices. Kyle Inge also serves as one of our company’s BIM champions, helping our various departments implement and maintain our BIM standards.

Mr. Inge graduated the from the University of Central Florida in 2012 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering.  He received his Professional Engineering license from the State of Florida in 2016.

Mr. Inge is also heavily involved in the Central Florida Chapter of ASHRAE, currently serving as Chapter Treasurer.  He has previously held other Chapter positions, including Student Activities Chair, Chapter Secretary, and Digital Communications Chair.  He is also a supporting member of the Florida Healthcare Engineering Association.

John Miller, P.E.

John Miller is a Mechanical Professional Engineer and Principal at Peninsula Engineering, Inc.  He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from  the University of South Florida in 2004 and has since made his professional home at Peninsula Engineering, Inc.  Throughout his tenure at Peninsula, Mr. Miller has developed a wide range of experience, including the development of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Animal Life Support, Medical Gas and Specialty Hydronic systems.  The breadth of his experience ranges from entertainment venues and attractions to hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, laboratories and commercial buildings throughout the Central Florida area and beyond.

Mat Shearer

Mat Shearer is an Associate Principal and Project Manager at Peninsula Engineering. He has a BS degree from the University of Central Florida and provides electrical systems design for numerous commercial projects. His experience includes over ten years of work in diverse projects such as tenant improvement and emergency generator systems for critical data centers, restaurants and healthcare facilities. He has also been involved in several high-end retail projects and high-density call centers.

Mr. Shearer is a long term member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), and serves such notable clientele as CB Richard Ellis, Jones Lang Lasalle, Grubb & Ellis, Tower Realty, Lincoln Properties, Gaedeke Landers and GVA Advantis. Bryan Spangler, P.E.

Bryan Spangler is an Electrical Professional Engineer and Principal at Peninsula Engineering. He has a BS degree in Architectural Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University and has 19 years of work experience designing a wide variety of healthcare facilities. His experience in electrical design includes normal and emergency power distribution systems, lighting controls, fire alarm systems, nurse call systems, breaker coordination studies, fault current calculations, site surveys, site inspections, and meeting the requirements of Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). Mr. Spangler is a supporting member of the Florida Healthcare Engineering Association (FHEA). In addition, he currently sits on the City of Orlando Building & Fire Codes Board of Appeals. He is part of the next generation of leadership at Peninsula Engineering and is constantly engaged in management decisions within the organization.

Mr. Spangler serves as a lead liaison between our firm and numerous healthcare clients including Florida Hospital, Adventist Health System, Orlando Health, Nemours, HCA (Hospital Corporation of America), and CHS (Community Health Systems). Mr. Spangler is responsible for responding to Request for Proposals, establishing scope narratives and pricing as well as serving as principal and project manager for the completion of the design process and construction. His extensive work experience with the AHCA agency and their individual reviewers and inspectors has led to a great rapport and working relationship. He has earned their respect over the years due to his thoroughness in preparing construction documents, his understanding of their processes from applications to stand-up reviews and their numerous construction site inspections. Mr. Spangler has established a success ratio for passing AHCA inspections that serves his clientele’s ever more critical schedules.

Rich King is a Mechanical Professional Engineer and a Principal at Peninsula Engineering. He holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University and has seventeen years of work experience designing a wide variety of projects from theme parks and education facilities to commercial buildings and healthcare facilities. Mr. King represents the current leadership at Peninsula and is engaged in management decisions within the organization. He is a board member of the University Club of Orlando and is a member of the American Society of Heating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and is a past president of the Central Florida Chapter.

Mr. King serves as the lead liaison between our firm and the Walt Disney World company and oversees our relationships within their organization including Facilities Asset Management (FAM) and Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI). He is responsible for responding to Requests for Proposal, establishing scope narratives and pricing and serving as the principal and project manager through the completion of the design process and construction. Gerardo Solar, P.E.

Gerardo Solar is an Electrical Professional Engineer and Principal at Peninsula Engineering. He has a six year Electrical Engineering degree from the National Polytechnic University in Quito, Ecuador and has over thirty years of experience in commercial and institutional buildings in Central Florida including hotels, commercial office buildings, churches, data centers, educational facilities and industrial projects. His knowledge extends into all aspects of electrical design including sophisticated uninterruptable power supplies, emergency generators, normal power distribution, fire alarm systems and extensive interior and exterior lighting design. In addition to being an Electrical Professional Engineer, Mr. Solar holds top security clearance for GSA work as well as a Master Electricians license.

Mr. Solar’s experience also includes over ten years working in South America in the areas of power generation, sub-stations, transmission and distribution, including the creation of standards for 69KV distribution lines and providing line analysis, flow studies, and relay system coordination for power network protection. His thesis work consisted of the design and construction of a 5 KVA, 100 KV, high voltage lab transformer for testing of insulation of power line components. Mr. Solar serves as the point-of-contact and project manager for some of Peninsula’s longest term client’s such as McCree, Inc., Powell Design Group, Nasrallah Architecture, Sprint Telephone Company and Interkinetics Design, Inc. Albert Marques, P.E.

Albert Marques is a Mechanical Professional Engineer and LEED accredited Principal at Peninsula Engineering. He has over thirty years or experience and currently serves as Vice President and Director of Engineering. He holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida and is registered in 14 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Mr. Marques also holds top security clearance for sensitive GSA work.

Mr. Marques’s project experience is rather diverse and includes full scale theme parks and destination resorts, large scale central energy plants, clean room manufacturing centers, various healthcare facilities and all aspects of commercial buildings from churches, restaurants and banks to office buildings and manufacturing plants. He has served several terms for the Orange County Building Department Advisory Board of Appeals and is active in the American Society of Heating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the National Society of Professional Engineers.

As Director of Engineering at Peninsula, Mr. Marques is responsible for setting the high standards we demand from all of our staff. He provides peer reviews for our team of project managers and engineers, overseas our in-house quality control process, coordinates man power and staffing needs for ongoing projects and also prepares proposals and fee schedules for clientele.
