Mechanical Designer - TI (Tenant Improvement)
Peninsula Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Designer with a focus on tenant improvement (TI) office projects to join our team. Peninsula is a well-established mechanical engineering firm, founded in 1977, serving clients in the Commercial, Entertainment, and Healthcare sectors. Mechanical Designer Job Responsibilities:
Develop mechanical system layouts including ductwork and piping for tenant improvement office projects.
Perform basic load calculations, equipment sizing, and energy code compliance checks.
Produce construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
Conduct site surveys regularly to document existing conditions.
Provide construction administration support, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.
Coordinate closely with project managers, owners, architects, and other design disciplines.
Maintain positive and professional client relationships across multiple concurrent projects.

Preferred Mechanical Designer Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
Understanding of applicable mechanical codes (Florida Building Code, ASHRAE 62.1/90.1).
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Basic experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
Familiarity with BIM 360 preferred.
Experience with a variety of project types or building systems is a plus.
Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
0-3 years relevant work experience, including internship experience
Mechanical design background or bachelor's in mechanical engineering from ABET accredited university preferred.
